About

Peyton W. Kistler is a scenic designer and technical theatre artist from the Midwest. She works across scenic design, technical direction, drafting, carpentry, and scenic art, with productions spanning opera, musical theatre, and theatre. Peyton will graduate from Ball State University in 2026 with a BFA in Theatre Design & Technology.

Her design and technical direction credits include projects with the Bay View Music Festival, Ball State University, Canterbury Theatre, and community theatres across Indiana. She has served as scenic designer, co-designer, assistant designer, and technical director.

Outside of production work, Peyton is committed to research-driven design and clear, efficient technical processes. Her work in the shop focuses on well-planned workflows, organized front-end paperwork, and a health-first driven leadership. At Ball State, she has served in program leadership roles, including student representation on faculty search committees and DEI-focused outreach initiatives.

Peyton is currently pursuing year-round work in production shops, theatres, and fabrication studios. She is available for relocation.
